Winner of the Coachella contest: quarterwise.tumblr.com
She created this creative list using only non-headliners - very cool!

I use a “wall of sound” mentality to describe music that has ever-changing rhythm, confuses your senses with an overload of different sounds, or just that piece that hits you and leaves you speechless.
Two parts old Animal Collective. One part offshoot Animal Collective. One Part Black Dice. Two parts Bradford Cox. Eighty minutes of noise rock, psychedelic ambient, frequent mood swings, and a guest appearance by Dan Deacon.

CSI: NORTH POLE MIX
An unconventional Christmas mix we can guarantee no one has ever assembled.
Why would they?
♫ What do you listen to while hitting the books? Have a study playlist? Or maybe a finals-are-over-let’s-party mix?
Share your favorite music at Infinimix!
Ever hear a song that reminds you of another song?
Of course you do, because most songs have the same three chords!
Anyway, I put together what I could find to be similar sounding songs - none of these include samples, because, that’s not the same thing!
I present to you: The Song Sort Of Sounds The Same? (I hope Zeppelin fans are reading this)
Listen to the tracks in this order to hear each group: 1-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, 18-20

I decided to make a numbers-only mix, which means only songs that have the actual number were picked, rather than it spelled out in the title

ROYGBIV Mix - A playlist of color-themed songs, mellow in mood, and in the order of the rainbow. To keep the chill feel I selected live or acoustic versions of several songs. The list wraps up with Jimi’s ’Bold as Love’, an appropriately chill summary of the colors.
RED : Chris de Burgh - “Lady in Red”
ORANGE : R.E.M - “Orange Crush” (Live)
YELLOW : Donovan - “Mellow Yellow”
GREEN : Incubus - “A Certain Shade of Green” (Live)
BLUE: Foutains of Wayne - “Sink to the Bottom”
INDIGO : Greatful Dead - “Standing on The Moon”
VIOLET : Seal - “Violet” (Live)
[ALL] : Jimi Hendrix - “Bold as Love”

I recently got back from a great San Francisco trip, so I thought I would put together a playlist of songs that were heard via my headphones on the flight over, or throughout the city during my stay
Please enjoy: If You’re Going To San Francisco…

Of course I could make a plethora of mixes about California as a whole, but I decided to pick on Los Angeles specifically
I tried to include many different genres and not always pick obvious songs (ie: Under The Bridge, songs just called Hollywood or Los Angeles, etc.)
I present to you: Billboards, Socialites, & Traffic, Oh My!

Last month Red Hot Chili Peppers released their new single “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie” off the forthcoming album ‘I’m With You’, which drops in just 10 days. As their first album in 5 years, and the first album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer (Since Frusciante left in 2009), ‘I’m With You’ is going to pretty different from what we’ve grown to love and expect from the band. I’m excited for it and, in celebration/anticipation, threw together this ‘Best of RHCP’ playlist.
It’s in chronological order and heavy on the 90’s stuff, enjoy!
